  Pricing for digital design services is as widely varied as the companies and individuals providing or seeking these services. Most are based on per hour fees ranging from below $50 to $250 per hour or even much higher! There are countless options, fees per hour, price per page, one rate for consultation and design, another for HTML coding, yet another for graphics work and picture scanning. A recent report at WebProsNow.com shows that the national average rate for simple HTML coding is $90 per hour, with much higher rates for more specialized design features. We did a lot of research here in the Savannah, Georgia area, and found that the average rate here is $73 per hour. Of course some are lower, some are higher, but this is the average. (If you would like more info about where we got these numbers, feel free to contact us.) Many local web design firms also have higher rates for graphic design, CGI programming, javascripting, etc.

     At The Scribe Digital Design, things are kept a little simpler. Our base rate is $55/hr, which is 38% lower than the national average, and 25% lower than the average rate here in the Savannah area. And that rate covers ANYTHING! Whether it is page design, graphics, marketing, or any other service, the rate stays the same. Writing javascript or cgi programming is not priced higher than HTML coding or search engine submission, though obviously some jobs are more time consuming than others. But if it takes 5 minutes to scan and process a photo, you are charged for 5 minutes, not $10 per picture, etc. And we offer business packages which can give you significant savings off of the hourly rate. The pricing is as competitive as you will find anywhere.
